Fruit Compote Recipes

Classic Strawberry Compote

Ingredients
• 2 cups strawberries, hulled and sliced
• 2-3 tbsp sugar (adjust to sweetness of fruit)
• 1 tsp lemon juice

Method

1. Combine strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a small saucepan over medium heat.
2. Cook 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fruit breaks down and juices thicken slightly.
3. Cool before layering in the jar under your yogurt.

Mixed Berry Compote

Ingredients
• 1 cup raspberries
• 1 cup blackberries
• 2 tbsp honey or sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method

1. Put all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat.
2. Stir and simmer 8–12 minutes until the berries break down and it becomes jammy.
3. Cool, then add to your yogurt.

Peach Ginger Compote

Ingredients
• 2 cups peeled, diced peaches
• 2 tbsp sugar or maple syrup
• 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
• Splash of lemon juice

Method

1. Combine peaches, sugar, ginger, and lemon juice in a pan over medium heat.
2. Cook 8–12 minutes until peaches soften and sauce thickens.
3. Cool and use as a fruit layer.
