Make creamy, nutty black sesame soft serve at home with the Whynter 7-in-1 1.6 Quart Soft Serve Ice Cream Maker & Slushy Machine. Top with colorful sprinkles or toasted sesame seeds for a delicious finishing touch.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons whole milk
  • ⅔ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • 3 tablespoons black sesame paste (black tahini), or less for a lighter color
  • ½ teaspoon xanthan gum

Optional Toppings

  • Colorful sprinkles
  • Toasted black or white sesame seeds

Instructions
  1. Add the heavy whipping cream, milk, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla bean paste, black sesame paste, and xanthan gum to a large bowl or blender.
  2. Whisk or blend until completely smooth and the sesame paste is evenly incorporated.
  3. Pour the mixture into the Whynter ICS-167 Soft Serve and Slushy Maker, staying below the machine’s maximum fill line.
  4. Select the soft serve preset and let the machine process the mixture according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  5. Dispense into bowls or cones and finish with colorful sprinkles or toasted sesame seeds. Serve immediately for the best soft serve texture.

Tips for the best texture:

– Blend thoroughly: Xanthan gum can clump if added unevenly. Blend it with the other ingredients for a smooth mixture.

– Adjust the sesame flavor: Start with 2 tablespoons of black sesame paste for a milder flavor, or use 3 tablespoons for a richer, nuttier taste.

– Don’t add toppings to the machine: Add sprinkles or toasted sesame seeds after dispensing.
