Crispy Brussels sprouts roasted with garlic, olive oil, and parmesan, then finished with a drizzle of balsamic glaze. An easy Thanksgiving side dish that brings plenty of flavor to the holiday table.

The Whynter TSO-488GB Countertop Convection Steam Oven air-fries the sprouts on its own tray. Your main oven stays free for the turkey, stuffing, and pies.

Parmesan Brussels Sprouts Ingredients

  • 1½ lbs Brussels sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ⅓ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze

How to Make Crispy Parmesan Brussels Sprouts

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the Brussels sprouts.
  2. Trim the ends and cut each sprout in half lengthwise.
  3. In a large bowl, toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and onion powder.
  4. Arrange on the baking tray in a single layer, cut side down.
  5. Preheat the Whynter TSO-488GB.
  6. Select DIY Air Fry mode at 390°F.
  7. Cook for 14–18 minutes, turning once halfway through, until golden brown and tender.
  8. Sprinkle parmesan over the Brussels sprouts during the final 2 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven and drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.

Tips for the Whynter TSO-488GB

  • Drying the Brussels sprouts thoroughly is important for crispiness.
  • Avoid overcrowding the baking tray. Cook in batches if necessary.
  • The Air Fry function uses rear convection heating and a fan.
  • Check early because smaller Brussels sprouts will cook faster.

Ways to Change Up This Side Dish

  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the seasonings for gentle heat.
  • Toss in chopped pecans during the final 2 minutes for crunch.
  • Top with crumbled cooked bacon before serving.
  • Swap the balsamic glaze for a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
